The GBM will be on Wednesday, 4/22 at 7pm in Peterson 110! We will have updates on events such as manzanar, sushi-fest, apprentice, chibi-k and more!
BANQUET BIDS are going to be available at this GBM starting at $45!!!!!! Prices will go up so buy them ASAP!!! The Banquet committee meeting is also going to be held on Thursdays at 7pm at PC East so come get more involved.
Also, T-shirts are FINALLY HERE! Sorry for the wait, but there is no mistaking it this time. IT IS HERE so come pick them up!!

Hey NSUers!
Just wanted to check in with all of you! Hope you all had a great time over break and got some much needed rest and did some fundraising too! There are only 11 days left before Relay for Life on April 18th, so lets all try REALLY hard to reach our team goal of $1000. Now, at the beginning of the quarter, it shouldn’t be that stressful to put in more effort towards raising money ☺
The Relay website makes it super easy to send out e-mails asking for donations. If you log onto your personal page, there’s a button for e-mails at the top, and when you click there it will lead you to a bunch of links with pre-written emails, including one asking for donations. All you have to do is send that e-mail to your family and friends! The e-mail will include a link to your personal page, and your family can donate to you online. You can also accept donations in the form of loose money or checks made out to the American Cancer Society (NOT Relay for life).
Also to give you a little heads-up about what will actually be going on the day of, we’ll check in at 10 AM and set up our campsite. The theme for this year is “Superheroes” so we can look into decorating our tent(s) and dressing up if we want to. Once we get settled in, the survivor lap will kick off the event, and we can get to walking! Throughout the day, we will always need someone from our team on the track, so I’m planning on having a sign-up sheet for everyone at the GBM, so I can guarantee someone on the track at all times. Plus, if you can’t be there the whole day, you only have to be there for your designated time. There will also be “mission statement” activities that will be going on throughout the event, which will promote cancer prevention and advocacy. (We’re leading the skin cancer activity with Circle K) At night, there is the Luminaria ceremony, where candles are lit in memory of those who have bravely fought, but lost their battle with cancer. Other than that, we’re just going to be having fun and walking together! I’ll update you guys more when I know more!!! Thanks for participating guys!
I’ll be making an announcement at GBM with more details, and we’ll probably have a short 5-10 minute meeting afterwards.
